Fire prohibition

Every year Australia is afflicted by bush fires. Many of these fires are good for the plants, because some can increase only through the regular fires. However every now and then it happens, that fires get out of control, endanger cities and burn down entire towns. In order to avoid this, there is a fire prohibition in the dry season. Everyone who disregards this and is caught, may reckon with a high fine or a longer imprisonment.

The most time - except when there is total fire prohibition (is announced e.g. in the radio) - it is allowed to use a petrol stove for cooking on a grass-free ground (campfires are mostly not allowed during this season).
